03 4x4 problem

2003 f150 fx4 will not engage to 4wheel drive. checked fuses there ok.what could be wrong. 4x4 and low range lights up on dash when started but does not come on when try to engage

I had a shift fork wore out in my front power train and a plugged vacuum lineto the vacuum actuator.
