My New Radar Mount

A buddy of Mine Machined up a Piece of Alum. For me So I could Mount my Escort 9500i on top of my Mirror. I hated those Suction cups. What do you guys think?

I like it. Only thing different I would do is paint that aluminum black so it doesn't stick out so much.

He said he wanted to paint it flat Black but I liked the look of the metal.

I'm pretty sure if anybody is interested in getting one made for them self he would make one for you. I'll ask him about a cost.

looks cool but i would agree on the black so it doesnt stand out and look unfinished but thats just me

I ran a hard wire from the fuse box and tucked it under the headliner. So no wires dangeling for me.

Looks really good, but the tinting at the top of the windshield might affect the performance of your detector.

transparent film isnt going to deflect a radar beam. Keep in mind the AGP radar systems on most USAF fighter's are mounted behind a metal nosecone

I have my radar detector mounted on the top of my windshield, and have the brow tinted, and have lost no range whatsoever.

Looks cool man!
