Out of the two... the Red Flareside

 

I'd want at least and extended cab for any truck of mine. If I had to choose, I'd go with the green one. The red one looks sportier and all, but the green one is more functional for what I use my truck for. I wouldn't want a smaller bed then the one I have now.

 

i like them both but have to go with the green one.

The flareside...but the green one is one of the better looking long beds I've seen. Long beds only look good sittin up taller to where they don't look quite so long.

 

But the red one would look better banged up ? Well, I know it would be better out in the woods once you scape off the red lol.

 

Yeah thats my current 97' f150, i agree with you tho. The only way i really like longbeds is if they have bigger tires on them. It makes them look more proportional. They look really awesom imo with 35's but i wanted a little bit of power......i probly couldn't fourwheel with 35's be gettin stuck alll the time! The tires def made the truck look 100x better!

 

Well i was looking for a old essay i had saved in a file for school on my laptop so i could supliment it for a paper in another class. (kill two birds with one stone...LOL) I ran across the pics of my old truck (the red 98'). I have pictures but i didn't kno i had any that saved on my computer so that was cool. I just saw it riding around town the other day too made me think about it.

I was kinda like.....darn it...why did I "give" that truck away? Cause it is a good looking truck.

Reason i said "gave" it away? Cause i "gave" it way for $2500 dollars. Yes im retarded! :o

Prolly given the choice...id keep my green truck tho over the red one for a few reasons.
I agree with glc. flaresides aren't my favorite. I also agree with chris...the i can def do and haul more with the longbed and i love that.

things i miss tho are: the offroad package and the 5.4 engine/trans. It had a 185,000 miles on it and i swear it drove like it did when it was new i bet. The 97 is a year older but it had 90,000 less miles on it. It's a 4.6 too which is alot diff from my old truck i can tell.

Basically i just wanted somebody to like my current truck over the old one. I think it looks better with no frame showing and the new one is more "functional" for sure!

I like the new one but miss the 5.4 so much! $2500...........im gonna go throw up now! Heck...when i had the tires, lift, wheels put on it was like $1420 or sumthing. Oh well!
