PRND21 pointer fix

Are you tired of seeing your pointer in the wrong place, here's a quick fix for you

Look under the dash at the lower side of the steering column and you see this black adjuster

Pinch it and spin it until the pointer is in the correct place

It is tricky to find, i made a quick video to show the location to help clear up any confusion

Nice! Mine is broken for sure I think.. My park is actually pointing to the R. It broke out of no where one day when I shifted into park.. it just would not go all the way. It goes through all the gears fine but its just one over on all of them.. weird I know.

Hey pat, I just went under there and tried to adjust mine. Does spinner it either way make it go a certain direction. I would think Clockwise for right, and counter for left?? Mine didnt move at all regardless of the direction I rotated the adjuster. I can see the needle moving as I mess with the cable, but it's not adjusting..Hmmm...

I need this whole unit. Mine is totally gone and broke. The white piece for the cluster unit is broke off. Will they sell this automatic shift indicator cable and plastic shift gauge? I don't know what its called. How would I go about finding the part number or even finding the price? I have done searches on this but don't know what to do. I looked on ebay and they have a instrument cluster for like 140 but its for an expedition which I think will work but I don't need the whole cluster. I am not trying to hijack your thread but figured you might know? and there are a lot of posts of adjusting your shift park locater just like this one. but this has pictures!

I would try a dealership first, you dont need the whole cluster, the PRND21 indicator just slides and clips into the bottom of the cluster. Plus if you got a cluster you'd need to have the dealership program it for the vehicle.

Some vehicles will have a zip tie at the bottom of the threaded portion. Make sure you replace that if you remove it.
