Coil pack location?

Coil pack location?

Im going to install a tach on my 2001 lariat 4x4 5.4L...and Im wondering were the coil pack is, and what I should be looking for ( i need to hook up to the negative side of one of the coils?).

It doesn't have a coil pack. It uses a coil on top of each plug.

oh, i didnt think they would do that untill the 2004+ models.

can i still hook it up somehow?

yes you still can, there is one on top of each cylinder. just have to cut into the wire harness. same idea
