1997 Ford f150 xlt 4x4 manual tranny shifting problems

My 97 f150 for the the last few weeks would occassionally grind slightly when shifting into 1st and second gear. Then last night while stopped at a stop sign i could not find 1st or 2nd gear, i put it in 3rd gear and drove to a nearby parking lot stopped and couldn't find any gear but reverse, but when i gave it gas it would bog down and stall out. Then today i checked it out and it was low on clutch fluid .I filled the clutch fluid to the proper level. This did not help. It's very hard to find 1st,2nd and reverse, will not shift while truck is moving, get's stuck in neutral (takes both hands to shift),and when i put the shifter where 2nd gear should be it goes back about 6 inches further than normal without finding 2nd.I have to like push the shifter hard to the left to find 1st and 2nd,and hard to the right to find reverse.Anyone have any ideas what my problem might be?

Sounds like maybe your throwout bearing is starting to go. It could possibly be your clutch slave also.

That doesn't explain the lever sloppiness - that's worn out linkage in the tranny. Like I said in your other thread, I think you have multiple issues.
