the ONE good thing i will say about those trucks, is you can put some miles on the motors, the other day i saw a k2500 5.7 with 378k miles on it and ran perfectly.
besides that keep with ford

for those who know i bought a 88 k5 blazer with plans to restore it and i almost got done when i came across a 96 z71 with 128k miles on it in near perfect condition so i jumped on it. traded straight up. my f150 just rolled over 170k miles so ima start driving the z daily now gets bout 18 mpg what ya think?

Good find
im just gonna do a small maybe 3 inch lift and 285s and drive it daily
The TBI's are a lot better than the vortechs. It isn't hard to pack alot of miles on the TBI's, they are decently built motors. The vortechs have poor valves usually have to be done by 120-150k miles. Also the intake manifold gaskets are poor because of their genius idea to put an aluminum intake on cast heads.

I almost bought a 97 light duty f250 (looks like f150) had those same 7 lug wheels yours has. do you have like 3/4ton axles or sumthin?
