The expy's don't have the cutouts for the tow hooks and they don't come on 4x2s. And back then, nobody else had one painted to match like I did (well, not that I had seen anyway...I'm sure it was done). I think painted they look just as good as or better than any other aftermarket or hd valance.
Pics of yours?

Illness, I've been looking for a pic of this truck for a long time now! lol I saw one from a pic you posted awhile back but couldn't remember where it was posted or who posted it I wanted to look at it again because I'm thinking about also painting my bumper blue instead of having it chrome. Looks very nice!

thank you .yea i want the tow hooks because of one bad experience.. i launched the jetskis on a dirt loading ramp..(bad idea) being im 2wd the truck sank into the dirt and got stuck.. had to get pulled out by an expedition.. wrapped the tow strap around the sway bar and almost ripped off the valance.. ouch!!

How exactly did you smooth out your bed caps? It looks pretty sharp. I miss my fully black 98, best color for that truck. I love my 01, but in white its pretty plain.
