Seat Upgrade

Ok, I am still confused on weither or not I will be able to upgrade to bucket seats. I have split bench seats in a 1997 F-150 Stepside regular cab. I got to looking, and i found a ford explorer with leather seats and i need to know will they even fit into my f150?

explorer? id say no. expedition then the answer is yes. even if you have a bench the truck has the necessary holes for any seats that were available in that yr, they just arent tapped.

i went from the bench to a 40/60 split bench and only had to tap 4 holes and good to go

this is one of the best write up i have seen. addresses the concern of location of holes & how to tap the threads.
