Quick question...will a 97-02 body lift fit on my 03??

Ok well i bought a performance accessories body lift kit off my buddy and its for 97-02....well i have a 2003 sport 4x4 extended cab....same look and everything as the 97-02...when i go to install this will i run into problems? Or did they just make a new kit for a new year to make more money? Please help me because i dont wanna start this project and get stuck because i am missing something.

The kit i have is for the f150 97-02. 4x4
My truck is an 03 f150 sport 4x4

I'm not aware of any differences. As long as it is the same cab/bed you should be fine.

thats good to know, so even if there is a little difference only a little custom fabrication will be needed?

I know Cashel_ used a body lift meant for a 2wd SuperCab on his 4wd SuperCrew

I gave him my extra lift blocks so he would have enough.

Not much difference and worst case only changes between 02 and 03 would be brackets for trans lines, and stuff like that

so if we do run into problems they can be easily fixed with a little custom fabrication right?

There shouldnt be any difference. It could be a simple typo on the box. all 99-03 truck used the same mouting points. It changed in the NBS (04+) though.

never heard of them, but like I said, i've seen come companies do typos before (i.e: 96-03 body style or 95 4.2L V6...etc)

Your not thinkin of this in the right mind set.

you can take 5 trucks with exactly the same setup

2000 5.4L Auto 4x4 and i bet you would lose count on how much difference in LITTLE stuff there is.

Just because the body style changed in 04 doesnt mean that everything matches up from a 02-03.

For instance when i replaced my motor it came out of a 99 F150 4.2L Auto 4x4 and the differences in certain things were just unbelievable. Same exact truck as mine and just countless different things (mostly where sensors plugged in at)

So what im saying is if theres any difference its going to be in the bracketry, NOT in the lift blocks or the body mounting locations. So YES if theres any differences they will be easily fixed with alittle custom fab.

And BTW Alex Performance Accessories is THE BIGGEST/ BEST body lift manufacturer
