My Free Gas Cap holder mod- My version start to finish in two seconds!

I am by no means flaming Patman I have a lot of respect for him and find his post very helpfull and enjoy reading them. I am not clever enough to make that hook he made. I just thought this would be helpfull also and show everybody what I do. I also hated the swinging cap and thought about cutting it the first time I bought gas after I bought the truck! So, I was looking for a hook that wasn't there! I thought huh this sucks so I wondered if I could stick it up in the corner somehow to keep it from dangling and was happy that it worked. It fits perfect without wedging and doesn't get in the way of the nozzle when filling. I hope this will work for everybody else as well. Oh, and by the way I don't have any other ideas about trailer bracket hangers or any other bright ideas I just used mine up.

^^lol
Good idea...might have to try this myself. My fuel door is different than yours and pat's...my gas cap doesn't hang from the door, but from the fuel neck itself, so I can't really hang it very well on the gas door because it's not long enough.

Used your idea for the first time today and it works, now only if I'd started doing this eight years ago I wouldn't have these little scratches on my bed

Sorry wolf, I would have posted eight years ago if I had my truck and been a member back then. Seriously though glad it worked for ya. These things should have had a hook anyway.

^ Maybe, maybe not about those pumps above. I have done my cap like that hanging up in the corner for four years now everytime that I have got gas and it has never been in the way. I drive a lot over the Charlotte area as my daily driver and hadn't had a problem anywhere all over the place in NC or SC with any stations.
