is this truck a good deal???

I offered the guy 11,500 for it and he took it but I am going to get the truck thursday, It drives nice and the interior is very clean. Kbb says private party value is 11,900 what do you think? http://austin.craigslist.org/cto/1321169366.html

Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't pay that much for it but if that's what you want.Go for it. Just remember, when you buy one that looks like that, it's been beat and abused before you ever get your chance to have fun with it!
Truck prices are higher there then here. KBB came up 10.900. here.

I would look over that truck real good like phil said I'm sure that truck has been through some stuff. But it is a very nice looking truck. Do you know why he needs to sell it so fast? O and if you do get it Thursday we expect to see more detailed pics by Friday!

Thanks for all the input guys, I am taking the truck to my uncle who is a mechanic to get his professional opinion before I finalize the deal. As for the reason needing to sell so fast, its the mans sons truck and he has left for college.

Between that, all those mods, and that dropped trailer hitch, you KNOW that truck has been ridden hard and put away wet.........

I wouldn't pay a penny over 9 grand for it. When researching KBB, there is NO SUCH THING as a vehicle in EXCELLENT condition, and what a lot of you may think is "excellent" is "fair" at best.

That is the best thing you can do! I wish I would have done that when I bought my truck used it would have saved me 5 grand almost instantly (blown head gasket = new engine). Having a mechanic look it over is money well spent. it is a nice looking truck though Good luck with it!

I would say no higher than 10,000 for that truck. You should have offered him 7000 and let him counter offer, you maybe surprised on what he comes back with...
