New Truck 2000 flareside 4x4

Finally got myself into a truck been through the tuner scene. From lexus to acura. Decided i needed something american made.

2000 F-150 XLT 4X4 flareside 4.6L V8 5 speed.

bought with 109xxx miles for 5k
Found this truck in south florida. Drove it 300+ miles home, then the next day the rear end locked up on me. Also the fork in the 4wd was broken so got that replaced at the stealership. So everythings fixed and ive got some plans for it. Its got 2in block in the rear, and i believe the torsion bars have been turned. And some Bilstein shocks in the rear. Also a set of 17in expedition wheels, with some bald buckshot mudders.

nice-looking truck overall...looks like it could use a new front valance and maybe some new fogs. You can find those cheap - don't be afraid to buy on ebay
Also, I believe your 2" blocks should be OEM on the 4x4s. Someone else will chime in to confirm, but I'm 99% sure that's correct lol.

Welcome to the truck scene

ya actually when the rear locked up be used the front tow hooks to pull it out of the road and the hooks are bent and it just snapped the plastic, i tried some JB weld but the plactic flexes to much.

Hmm i did not know the blocks were oem. well thanks for that info.

Check out Certifit.com, and see if they have a warehouse near Gainesville. You can pick up a new valance for $26 out the door last I checked.

Nice looking truck, what are your plans?

Even though you have had some problems, your new truck looks great. With some TLC you've something to be proud of...

ya it was frustrating in the begining, but im happy with it now. its something new, coming from driving supercharged integras and turbo lexus's. i just needed something reliable. something i knew would start in the mornings before class. and something i didnt have to crawl over bumps and sticks and all that kind of stuff.

The flareside bed isn't as wide as the styleside bed. Your wheel wells are outside of the bed rails rather than inside like on othe full size trucks. You'll have to look for one for the flareside bed or measure the bed width and you maybe able to use one for the smaller trucks like the ranger

Tractor Supply Company has a toolbox that is literally a box. It is the one I have in mine. I didn't want something crazy huge, just something to haul stuff in.

Here is a link to it on their site: 49-Inch Bright Aluminum Portable Utility Chest

And a picture of it in my bed....
