04+ badges on 97-03's?

I just picked up a new set on ebay for a 04+ and was wondering if they will mount up right in place of my old emblems? Or will i have to cut off the alignment pegs

Cut the pegs off and the adhesive backing will work just fine.

If you don't trust that enough, get some 3M adhesive.

Cut off the pegs on the back and unless they are new, strip off any old tape. Purchase some of the 3M double sided tape from your local auto parts store. It is a gray color tape with red on the outside, specific for auto badges and such as it is thinner and stronger.

Run a piece of tape along the top of the old badge before removing it. Remove the old badge with fishing line, see-sawing it back and forth. You can remove the residual tape off of your fender with goo-gone.

Then you are ready for your new badge.

I find it interesting how the '97-'03 guys are putting the '04-'08 badges on and the '04-'08 guys are swapping for the '09's.

I have had the 09 bages on my 00 for about 6 months now. I like the look of my 09's on my silver but my friends red f150 I like the 04-08 ones better.. Just depends on the color of the truck

I like the 04-08 badges and the 09's as well which would you suggest for a dark wedgewood blue for my 02?
