04 Heritage 2wd New Tires

Picked up some new to me tires for $300 as mine are beat.
I went up in size a bit from what I think was 245 75 16 to 265 75 16 so from 30s to 31s roughly.
I don't know if you can see a difference- I can (looks like my rims shrunk), and I can feel that the ride height is taller.
I wasn't really going for bigger tires, but I couldn't pass up the deal.

I dig the green too. This is my budget work truck, so I have to work with what I have. I never liked chrome, 2wd, two-tone paint or singlecab trucks, but the price was right on this truck.
I got this truck strictly for economy, cost to repair, and for its low cost. (But I like to modify vehicles, and the looks of this truck are growing on me).

Let me ask something. I never see any other amber corner lights on F-150s, (and I drive a lot) I think my corner lights are not original. I have noted that Ford Rangers appear to have amber corners. What is the deal?

2004 trucks got amber color lenses instead of the milky clear like the rest of the 97-03s. it should say on the face of the lense near the bottom if its ford, or something else

also factory sized tires are either

255-70-16 or 235-75-16 you often would see the first tire size on V8 trucks and the second size on V6 models, but thats not a gaurantee

I'm amazed you knew that about the amber lenses.

On tire size:
03 2wd longbed truck I know has the 235-75-16 tires, and his door says 245-70-16.
One model year later, my door sticker says 255-70-16, my truck had 245-75-16.

well i eat sleep and breath these 97-03 trucks so i know a thing or two about them.

yes there are other sizes but the two i posted are the most common ones. ive seen the dealership level software tune for our trucks, and there are about 16 tire size options in there.

and unless you are the original owner and you bought it brand new you never know if someone put the wrong size on by accident or on purpose

[QUOTE=Ford Heritage;3797732](But I like to modify vehicles, and the looks of this truck are growing on me).QUOTE]

I know exactly what your saying. I got my F150 for my 16th birthday present and I was like "I hate this truck, its long box and has no potential" I love it now. Forums helped me out alot and I got ideas from other peoples trucks. Paint the inside of grille, bumper. Everything makes a difference. As soon as I bought rims and I got them on, I immediatly loved my truck. The only problem I have with my truck now is that I only have 28" tires. I need the max - 32" After that I'll be done modding, and after a cherry bomb.

I have 235/70/16's and thats exactly what my sticker says.
