chrome XLT mirrors

are they real chromium metal or plastic? I REALLY () want a pair of Lariat (LED turn signal and all) white caps, but right now I have chrome caps. I thought they were metal (not-paintable) but a few people have told me they are plastic and paintable. If they are paintable, I will go ahead and just spray them and scratch one more thing off the appearance change list.

I have the turn signals in my lariat...and my pass. light is out. i dont think theyre LEDs just a normal light bulb. do you know how to take off the cover? i.e. take off your chrome piece.

raptor you're truck would look good with white painted caps

I believe the caps are plastic (even if they were metal they could be painted)

Alex, be the guinea pig and paint the entire mirror white, caps and all. I have been debating what a full PTM mirror would look like....

I've got 1 passenger side mirror for sale in the classified section. you could use that to experiment with sanding it down and painting it all. just a thought and shameless plug for my ad
