There should be plenty of examples of no side molding out there.

XLT/Lariat = Side Molding

XL/Work Series = No Side Molding

I personally like the side moldings on my SCAB XLT. As Raoul said, the XL's don't come with it which is what my first F150 was. I do like the distinct lower lines on Patman's SCREW with out the moldings, though. My SCAB doesn't have those.

I removed mine by using a heat gun(they came off fairly easy), used goo-be-gone, and then buffed/polished it....turned out great!

You know, it may not have taken you six days to respond if you hadn't parked so far out.

Gator Crew, my truck is the same as yours. I think it would look great. People still manage to ding my truck even with them on...

Looking for a cowl hood too.. what brand is yours?

It is a Reflexxions Steel Cowl hood. I bought it through Keystone Autoparts, it cost me right at $400, that included shipping

The OP wanted to see what his truck would look like without them.
From that I assumed he must have a styleside, that's why I mentioned the trim lines for stylesides.

I hadn't considered flaresides like yours. Thanks for mentioning it for future readers.

Try some rubbing compound.. might rub out the line left from grime build-up.
