seat conversion

I just bought a 97 4X4 flareside. It has the 2 buckets (manual adjustments) with a console in the middle. I would rather have the 60/40 bench. I found a guy that would like to trade, with same year seats, but his are power. I have a plug under my driver seat but I do not know what it is for. What do I need to make the power seats work in my truck?
Thanks

the plug might be for power seats, but it could also be the plug for your seat belt sensor.

Thanks
It is prob. just the sensor...

Does anyone know what I would have to do to make the power seats work if I have no plug for them? Can I just run a hot and ground and make them work or is there more than that involved?

Try and find a wire diagram since most veichles all have the same wire harnes, like mine doesn't have fogs but the wiring is right their for it. So that plug might be for power seats, does your seat belt light come one when the car is started and the belt isn't in, if so it could be the power seat harnes. Another way to tell would go look at the other truck and see if it is the same plug and location.

Are the mounts the same? Reason I ask is because I just picked up a set of 2002 ext. cab seats so I can change out the 60/40 in my Reg cab with these nice leather 60/40. But the dang mounts don't match. So now I am at a wall. So was just curious if you have that problem or not, b/c I have no idea how to fix it.

I haven't actually looked at his truck yet. He is about 50 minutes away and we haven't hooked up yet, besides email and phone. I will have to check that as well. Where are they different on yours?
Thanks

No idea whats going on there, But... if you still have the other set of seats with the right brackets for the truck.. check into swapping brackets from the old ones to the leather Honestly didnt know there was a difference in brackets though... right now i have a set of 2000 ext cab 60/40 seats in my 97 rcab Bolted right in no hassle got a couple pics of the difference in brackets?

I'll get some pics up later today. Yea, I wasn't expecting them to be different either. They don't look like they can be changed out either.

I think they are different b/c all the Rcab have a more rounded top, but the Scab I got the seats from had the more square top seats. I think Im gonna have to get someone to fab them in some how. Just worried about that, b/c it would be really hard for them to be sitting perfectly level like factory.
