I also mounted mine to the fiberglass piece. Have had them for about a year now with no problems.

Down the passenger side wheel well then up through a rubber grommet in the cab floor right up under the sill panel same spot most that I, and most, run their amp power cables. Then after the switch on my dash its ran the same way but reverse as before. Then to get behind the grill I ran the wires through the metal cross member behind the grill. If that makes any sense.

I have 7in Autozone special lights the hella look-alikes I mounted them to that top rad-support with bolts that run through both the top and bottom of that mount it makes them very sturdy. I then used black tar tape that plumbers and such use and ran a couple of strips under eash light to ellimnate almost all shaking while driving. I have a billet grille and have them spaced as much like the mustang lights to give the look I wanted. A very simple install all that you have to take off is the grille and headlight shroud and headlights and corner lights. This improved my driving lighting extensively considering i have aftermarket projectors which I think suck for lowbeam lighting. I have them aimed down so I can use them along with my headlights for on-road use but I had them aimed up for off-road or back-road lighting and this worked great for highbeam or back country road lighting. I will post pictures soon as I will be swapping the lights from my 00 2x4 to my 98 4x4.
