Yea, you have a hose leaking - Most likley the PCV system. Easy fix, you just have to look at it and follow the lines with your hand. Move them around while it's running, -you'll find it.

The six leaks under the TB and also towards the back by the firewall.

No problem - Sounds like you better clean that MAF as well. Another easy job.

Don't forget to reboot

No, but it could be a problem. High idle is usually associated with unmetered air intake - A leak. That can cause all sorts of problems, I'm surprised you don't have a CEL with lean codes. That's strange.

If by chance you do have a CEL, you need to get it scanned and report the codes here. Then all of us will help you.

Without codes, it's about useless and a guessing game. Auto Zone reads them free, write them down and post back. Do that and you'll get the help you need. I just gave a good guess.

Use this community to your advantage, it's a good one - Welcome to the site

A CEL = Check Engine Light.

Some refer to it as a MIL.

A MIL = Malfunction Indicator Lamp.

It's a Amber light that illuminates in the right lower corner in the cluster when there is a problem. The cluster is your readouts above your steering wheel. You Speedometer and Tack is in the cluster.

When there's an Amber light (CEL) - The best thing to do is to go to Auto Zone and tell them you have a CEL and they will plug into your comp and read the codes. These codes come over their scanner, these are what YOU need to right down. It's a good service and it's free, but that's as far as it goes. Don't purchase anything at this time, just write the codes down and post them here. We will tell you what to do at this point.

A PCV valve plugs into your valve cover. Hoses run from the PCV to your intake and sometimes -throttle body elbow. Check these hoses /elbows and whatnot first. Chances are, one of these are the idle problem. To much air, the PCM (computer) can't configure/set (idle) correctly.

Also, if the throttle body is very dirty, that can cause these issues as well.

This is how you clean the MAF - This is a VERY important part of maintenance with your Essex engine. This is a 4.6L , but in general, it's the same -

It's on this "how to" page along with allot of other useful info. -

Also here's this sites "how to" page -

Great Info that should come in handy
