Having some problems...power steering??

I went to back out of my driveway a couple of days ago and I couldn't turn the steering wheel. I checked my power steering fluid and it is full...could this be my power steering pump??? Any advice would be great.

Nope. Even with no pump, you should always have manual steering. Pretty much just leaves the steering box. You could always detach the input shaft to the box, and the pitman arm (easier with the wheels off the ground) and try to see if moves. I presume your steering column isn't just stuck locked.?.

I can turn it a little but it is just really hard so I'm pretty sure I dont have manual steering...How do you check the steering column? I haven't done to much work just the basics (plugs, wires, shocks, filters) but I'm in college a dont have the money to take it and get it fixed.

Are you sure you didn't throw the serpentine belt?

Something I learned many many years ago from a master mechanic - check the obvious first!

Clean the pulleys and replace it with a Gatorback. 30 bucks tops.

Even cracked it should still turn the pully (not that it doesn't need replaced). Have u replaced it yet, and did it work. I'm just as much curious as I am interested in helping with the solution.

Good point - when you take the belt off, make sure you can turn the pump pulley by hand.
