installing a viper alarm system

hey guys i plan to buy a viper alarm system along with the left and right door actuators (have not had keyless entry for a few years..) and am wondering how big of a pain it is going to be install it all myself.

im good with things electrical things (fixing xbox 360s, computers, etc), but ive never messed with anything on my truck because if i screw it up its going to be 2x harder to fix it!!!

but i really enjoy DIY projects.

so how hard really is it?

this the kit im going to buy.

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...ST+VS5900.html

is this a good one?

any help would be appreciated!!

Viper makes a good alarm system. I myself have the Clifford RSX 3.5, identical cousin to the Viper 791X. I really like mine. It is only a 1/4 mile range on the remote, but I love every feature it offers.

Idk about them when it comes to DIY install. I imagine it should be simple as long as you know where to find the right wires to tie into.

Most definitely. It will probably take a few hours, as long as nothing horrible happens. (Hope that it doesn't.)

Good luck man and let us know how it turns out.

You might hit Travis up at www.kcautosound.com

He can get you everything you need for your truck and tell you how to install it. Backs it up with warranty. Try to get that with sonicelectronix. Tons of us on here have used his services. Personally watched him install both power door locks and power windows into my friends truck. The locks didn't look to tough to do.
