oh ye, forgot to mention, have you checked to see if the vacuum solenoids are working properly. They are on the passanger-side firewall if I remember correctly. There will be 2 solenoids. One Blue vac line on one and a pink vac line on the other. The other thing you want to check for, is to make sure that the fork is engaging (pushing) the bushing in all the way inside the front axle. You will feel it and hear it engage.
