My cupholder/ashtray in my 97 F150 will not go back in. Stupid me pulled it out to clean it. There are 2 springs on the back of the unit that I can't find a logical spot for them to fit. There is also a metal pin thingie on the upper back part of the reciever that swivels and fits into a slot on the unit. There must be a simple way to remove and replace this thing but I can't figure it out.

 

when u pulle it out the spring should make like a u....when u look into the hole where it goes there is a 1/2" lip and the spring has to wrap around it...
