I'm trying to find out how many vehicles were produced in a certain year. For example how many green extended cab 4.6 4X4's were built in a particular year. Does anyone know where I can find this information?

Ford doesn't release info broken down to that detail.

 

I have this book that breaks down the number of 4x4s, number of motors and sizes along with production numbers.

 

I am familiar with that book. The breakout numbers stop after 1972.

Read Note 7 for the 1972 F-100, then read the production notes for 1973 and beyond.
The total production number is all that is listed.

The book does have an interesting feature starting in 1975, in the Historical Section, it lists percentage of the total production for various options such as, 17% had FM radio or 53% had auto trans etc...
I guess you could use a calculator and determine how many had FM
Or you could calculate how many had Auto Trans
But there is no way to ascertain both on one truck or just one of those on one truck.
Each piece of data is independent.

The op would like to know 'how many green ones in 2003'.
I'd like to know 'how many Supercabs in 1999'
That data is close hold for whatever reason.

I have looked for years and would love to be proven wrong.
