Anybody running Bilstein 5100's on 97-03

I am specifically looking at the 5100's because they make a shock specific for the 2wd models with a 2" lift (plus spindles but they shouldnt affect anything). My concern is that I have heard bilsteins tend to ride stiff. I need a longer shock to gain some down travel as my factory shocks are blown out and are limiting the amount of travel and not controlling the end of travel so it bassically bottoms out (except its at full droop). Is anybody running them on a 4x4 or anything? Would just like to hear from a few people and how they like the ride of the bilsteins, (even if the truck isnt lifted) THANKS!

I dont know about their truck models but I have had them on my
Vette and my Mercedes. I would say they are more firm than stiff. I would buy them for a truck

Love mine! Awesome ride with them. I can't complain one bit! I got 5100's in the front, an 5125's in the back. Difference? 5100's come in alot of different sizes, for what your make is. 5125's are made up for what your looking for, in length & travel.

I got custom shock mounts in back, an needed a certain length & travel!

Call Bilstein, or check out their website. I'm sure you can get a longer shock, with the travel your looking for. Just gotta make sure you get shocks with the right mounting ends. You'll be happy you bought them!

thanks for post...I actually got them on last week and really like them! They are a bit firm on the small stuff, but they controll the suspension so much better and it doesnt bottom like it was so overall for $230 bucks Im pretty happy.
