Questions

I've been modifying Hondas for years and decided to go for a truck. I bought a 01 f-150 subercrew which now has around 145k miles. Are there any mods that I should stay away from untill I rebuild the motor? Where are some good places on the net to get parts? Other than the junk yard and the dealer does anyone know where I can get the little plastic piece that clips to the dash covering the hood release?

Thanks

Why would you rebuild the engine? 145K is nothing. I have 175K and a few guys on here are 300k+. Or are you talking about building it up? Do you have the 4.6L or 5.4L? Might want to check on the plugs, I'm not a V8 guy, but I've heard there are problems with the 5.4L shooting plugs or something along those lines.

AutoZone has those plastic retaining clips. They are a butt to get off, lol. I lost all mine and only have like 4 left.

Other than that, welcome to the site! Pics are a must around here!

I have the 4.6. I meant the the panel the goes around the hood release. I dont know to much about fords, so I wasn't sure if the motor would need a rebuild because of the mile. I know Hondas can go for ever, hell drove mine around with almost no oil for 2 days.

check your tranny fluid, and differential(s) fluid level

start with the "gotts intake", efans and see where you end up

I'm not sure about the panel but if I remember right you'll need a whole nother panel
