Exclamation 97 egr fitting

i have a 97 f150 4.6. i'm having trouble getting the fitting loose that is attached to the metal tube that runs to the exhaust manifold. Is their any tricks to getting this loose? I thought about trying to heat it. The truck has 140,000 miles... Thanks

spray some WD-40 on it and let it sit for a while. it took a bit a strength to get mine off. just gotta keep working at it

PB Blaster will work a lot better than WD-40.

yes pb will work better, it has better penetration properties as well as lube to my knowledge.

you may have to resort to heating it up with a torch if PB and shock therapy using a soft blow hammer on your wrench. if there is enough room you could hit the nut with a ball peen perhaps?
