Seat Swap

I have an 02' Regular Cab with a bench seat and I am wanting to swap it out for captains chairs with console. My only question is will any captains chairs between 97-2003 work? I don't need the power seat option, heated seats, or any other electronic perk.

Yes for the most part all the 97-03's are interchangable and like gotts said the seats in the expys are interchangable too. The only thing I have seen on here from others that have changed their seats is the change in either 01 or 02 to where they put the seatbelts in the seats instead of the B-pillar. The seat brackets are slightly different but I do remember someone putting some in like a 99 or something and just to bend them a small amount to get the holes to line up, but otherwise worked fine. good luck man

My cousin did a bench to bucket swap in his 98 just fine. Don't know what year model the buckets came from though.

And the seat belt became part of the chair in 01.

i'm still trying to figure this one out...i guess the integrated seat belt was an option? my '02 had them in the pillar and my '03 has them in the seat. both were xlt's.
i'm looking to put an expy console in my truck and putting a passenger bucket seat in also!

Ebay or a junkyard is usually your best bet for seats. I was able to score my seats for pretty cheap from LKQ online when I did the swap on my old truck. They were electronic/heated/the works coming from an Eddie Bauer Expedition, but the electronics didn't work, so LKQ refunded me a good bit of the money I spent (I still only spent like $300 before all this happened tho). You can usually find the consoles online for pretty cheap as well. I bought mine for about $130 and ended up making a $50 profit on the console alone when I sold everything out of the truck when it was totaled.

ya they will fit fine. you just might have to tap a few hole to screw the bolts in
