Calibrating gauge needles using odometer

I had to remove my needles and I remember seeing a post where if you hold down the trip reset for long enough it will go to tachometer display mode? Anyone have any idea about this?

So I figured it out. You have to hold in the trip/reset light and then put the key in run but do not turn the ignition. The odometer will display test and you can press the trip/reset button to cycle through the test (Gauge, Speedometer, Oil, Fuel level). One of the modes is DTC code!!!! I wish I would have known this earlier!

See previous discussions of this feature by SEARCHing or googling for "HEC Dealer Test Mode"
