why wouldnt you lift a v6? I need to know so i can lower mine back down. And ill sell all the suspension and tires to some one that has a 5.4... Damn im such an idiot lifting my 4.2

You need to realize motor size means NOTHING unless you are racing. My 4.2 will rip off the bumpers of most of the trucks on here. Gear is your friend when you have over sized tires. you need to go to watch a 1.3l sami roast 44's.

but get th Fabtech 7.5" amazing quality. Definitely the lift id get if i had a 2wd. Also no one answered you but 285's will not look good at all with that much lift. I had 285's with just a body lift and i HATED it.

Id recommend, tryin to sell those tires and get a set of used tires. check craigslist you can find some GREAT deals there.

and im not bashin you for not likin the 4.2 heck i dont like it either.

Well I think I will finaly poast some pics of my truck. I bought it complatly stock and it has come along ways from that. What you can't see in the pics is the muffler that is turned down right after the cab, and a drop in S&B filter with the gotts intake (my way though)

I geuss you can't see the brush gaurd or billlet grill either.

Thanks for the info 4.2trimble I'm probably going to have the 285 tires for a while sooo what do you think? I'm probably gonna do the 6" lift that should be enough clearance for what i am climbing over and doing. After i get the lift done I plan on getting some new wheels and tires for my truck but it might be a month or two before I get them. The 285's I have are pretty knobby so maybe I can pull it off for a month or two haha.

sstryker, remember what I said, any "6" inch lift for our trucks is actually a 7.5" lift for our trucks...procomp and RCD are also both going to be more than like more expensive than the fabtech 7.5" kit...plus, think of the quality, I have the kit and others recommend it...

4wheelparts.com sir...got my lift for $1000, came with everything you need

If you will have them for awhile. I still think you can find a used set of 35's for REALLY cheap via craigslist and the classafieds then mount them on your stock wheels.

Then sell your tires to offset the price of the other tires.

and id still look into the Fabtech 7.5"

you could also do a 3" body lift and leveling kit for faily cheap as well. Probably under 500. if you do the work yourself (not hard)

maybe with some more aggressive tires and a lift it would look at home but right now I agree it looks kinda out of place in my opinion

but over all a very original color sceme and direction
