Ford & Chevy Trucks Crash into Home–which Holds Up Better?

F-150 and Chevy Silverado crash into home

There’s bad days, and then there’s two-trucks-trashing-your-home bad days.

Homeowners in Woodland, California, recently experienced one hell of an accident. At about 7:30 a.m., a speeding Chevy Silverado barreled into into their driveway, hitting their Ford F-150. The force of the accident sent both the Chevy and the Ford crashing into their home. And you thought you had a bad morning!

Thankfully, no one was injured in the freak accident. But the house suffered some fairly extensive damage, including the garage, mailbox, and exterior walls.

All things considered, the F-150 held up pretty well. But for damage to the tailgate and bed, the truck is still standing strong. Maybe that’s why the Chevy targeted the Ford: Jealousy!

Adding insult to injury, the driver of the Silverado was a jerk and fled the scene.

“We responded to reports of a vehicle into a house,” Greg Elliot of the Woodland Police told Fox 40 news. “We don’t know if it’s intentional or not, but we do know that [the accident] was caused by one car that made the collision into the one car in the driveway, then into the house,” Elliot said.

The Silverado ended up slammed into the home, and the F-150 into the garage door.

“I kind of heard like a trailer hit something and I heard dogs barking,” neighbor Mireya Rivera told Fox 40 news. Rivera said theirs is a typically quiet neighborhood, so the entire incident was frightening. But she stressed that all drivers should “slow down.”

We agree. Safety first, always!

Law enforcement are still seeking the driver of the Chevy Silverado, so if you have any information, contact the Woodland Police.
