‘Pure Michigan’ F-150 Could be a Juggalo Gem
Truck tribute to Ford’s home state should show a little more love for Insane Clown Posse and Bell’s Beer, says one local DJ.
It’s not every state that gets its own custom Ford F-150 truck. Then again, not every state is home to the maker of the world’s greatest trucks. Ford Motor Company is tipping its hat to its homebase with the release of the Pure Michigan Edition Ford F-150. The special features of the F-150 include the “Pure Michigan” logo on exterior badges and stitched into the seats (by California auto interior design company Katzkin).
The Pure Michigan Edition Ford F-150 went on sale earlier this month at Greater Michigan Ford dealerships, and the nod to the locals made at least one Michigan DJ appreciative, but not satiated. Nope, K102.5 FM radio personality Bobby Guy is a Michigan native who was hoping for a few more options on the Pure Michigan F-150. Holland-born Guy is hoping for a few options that will better connect with drivers from Michigan, the state that was famously home to Motown, Madonna, Stevie Wonder, and every badass from Eminem and Kid Rock to Ted Nugent and ICP.
In a post on K102.5 FM’s website, Guy smartly expels on what he thinks most Ford enthusiasts from Michigan would like to see on the Pure Michigan Ford F-150, and it’s a lot deeper than a mere logo.
