Tough Choices: Ford F-150 Lariat Lineup for 2015
Instead of up to ten trim packages to choose from for the 2015 Ford F-150, buyers have just five. However, each of those five trim packages are further divided exterior options and equipment packages.
These packages differ enough that each sub-group is easily identifiable. The Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum are all upscale packages with unique exterior features.
The Lariat with Equipment Group Mid 501A is equipped with a chrome surround and grille in three-bar style and black mesh inserts.
The front and rear bumpers are also chrome. Door handles and side-view mirror caps are both body-colored. Standard seating is 40/20/40 with 40/console/40 buckets and a floor shifter optional.
The Lariat Sport with Appearance Package (863) has a magnetic brushed black three-bar style grille and surround with black mesh grille inserts.
The end caps of the front bumper and the rear bumper are body colored while the center of the front bumper matches the magnetic black grille.
Step bars that are accent-colored are added as are 18-inch machined six-spoke aluminum wheels with Magnetic black painted pockets. The bucket seats, console, and floor shifter are standard on the Lariat Sport.
Almost everything goes chrome with the Lariat Chrome with Appearance Package (86L). Almost everything means exactly that: the grille, grille inserts, bumpers, step bars, mirror caps, door handles, and exhaust tip all get the chrome treatment.
Standard seating is the 40/20/40 split bench arrangement with the buckets and floor shifter optional.
