Pacific Northwest Ford Club Hosts Second Summer Fling, Aug. 17
NW Mustangs and Classic Fords of Vancouver send-off summer with raffles, family-friendly activities, and plenty of cool Fords.
The Pacific Northwest is a fine place to bring your F-150. Outside of the hipster vibes of Portlandia and the cosmopolitan soul of Seattle, there’s a whole playground waiting for you and your Ford. From the Cascadian titans of Mount Rainier, Mount Baker, Mount Hood, and Mount St. Helens, to the rainforests of the Olympic Peninsula, the shores of the Puget Sound, and the mighty Columbia River merging with the chilly waters of the Pacific, you’ll feel right at home amid the evergreens and grasslands making up this spectacular region.
Thus, it’s the perfect setting for the second edition of the NW Mustangs and Classic Fords Ford Summer Fling, set for August 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the grounds of Chuck’s Produce’s Salmon Creek location in Vancouver, Washington. Proceeds from the celebration of all things Ford will go to Rockaway Beach, Oregon non-profit Camp More, “a place for kids and teens who stutter to improve communication skills and build self-confidence.”
Wondering what this special summer fling will entail? Thanks to sponsors like local dealer Vancouver Ford, there will be tons of raffle prizes up for grabs. Meanwhile, those who enter their F-150s or other Fords into the main competition could come away with a first-place trophy in their chosen category, each trophy handmade by one of the members of the NW Mustangs and Classic Fords club.
For the whole family, there will be plenty of food from local vendors, face-painting for the little ones, hand-dipped ice cream, and music filling the air. And for those who, for whatever reason, show up in something other than a Ford, there’s a competition category for them to snag a trophy, too.
Registration for the second edition of the Ford Summer Fling starts at 9 a.m. the day of the show, which will set you back $20; online registration is closed. Not a bad way to send-off summer with your F-150, indeed.
