When you envision the perfect truck, it probably looks something like this 1977 Ford F-150!

If you’re anything like us (and we know you are!), you undoubtedly have dreams about trucks. And if you’re a fan of ’70s Fords, we’re guessing that this amazing 1977 Ford F-150 probably looks something like one of those dream trucks. At least, it sure looks like a dream to us. Because when we came across the beauty for sale over at 4-Wheel Classics, our collective jaws immediately hit the ground.

Aside from the fact that we’re huge fans of all ’70s Fords, we haven’t come across many nicer than this one. From the recent gray repaint to the short bed/regular cab configuration, it’s essentially perfect in our eyes. According to the seller, this 1977 Ford F-150 lived its entire life in the state of Idaho, where we doubt it hauled too many potatoes. Plus, it’s got a rebuilt 400 V8 with a mere 32k racked up since its refresh.

The engine received a few upgrades as well, including an aluminum intake, headers, an Edelbrock carb, and dual exhaust. Behind it sits an (also rebuilt) NP 435 4-speed transmission. The front and rear differentials were redone at the same time as the engine and tranny, so you know you’ll have plenty of care-free miles to go on this bad boy.

The previous owner also added a 4-inch suspension lift to give the old girl a more aggressive stance. And it worked. With a new set of aluminum wheels and BF Goodrich Mud Terrains, it’s looking better than ever. And with niceties like power steering and power disc brakes to go along with all the refreshed mechanicals, we’re betting it drives just as good as it looks. Which is exactly what we’d do with this dream truck. Drive it – a lot!
