Whether you need some shaved ice or a root canal, Ford trucks can deliver it to your door step.

Ah, the work truck. We’re all undoubtedly familiar with the boring, snooze worthy transportation of the blue collar worker. Built specifically for utility and nothing else. But there’s a new generation of work trucks emerging on our nation’s streets these days. And they’re anything but boring. In fact, they’re not only eye catching, they’re essentially rolling businesses.

Blame it on the Internet. People love the convenience of ordering products and services with the touch of a button, then watching it arrive in record time. These days, you can get anything from bananas to mattresses delivered right to your front door without having to change out of your sweat pants. So it only makes sense that businesses take advantage of that with all-encompassing, rolling billboards.

And what better choice of platform than the world’s most popular and infinitely customizable vehicle? Of course, we’re talking about Ford trucks. From the ever popular Transit van to the bare chassis F-650, there’s a commercial option for everyone. And businesses that utilize mobile and delivery services are taking note.

One shining example of this trend is Fleet Clean, a mobile truck washing service. Fleet Clean utilizes medium duty F-650 chassis trucks outfitted with aluminum bodies and enough water to wash 35-55 trucks. Another mobile franchise, Tikiz Shaved Ice & Ice Cream, employs nearly 100 specially outfitted Ford E-350 cutaway van chassis in its fleet.

Many other companies find the do-it-all Ford Transit to be the perfect fit for their mobile businesses. They include Hoodz, a restaurant hood-cleaning service that owns several hundred of them. And Dental Fix Rx, who convert their vans into mobile dental offices complete with X-ray machines and a water supply. “Every drawer has a label on it, and it’s delivered to you that way, turn-key,” franchisee Mike Parker told Trucks.com. “You can’t really do your work without it.”

And those a but a few of the many innovative ways businesses are using Ford trucks to reach customers. So don’t be surprised to see one roll in your driveway the next time you order some bananas. Or need a root canal.
