Crazy Truck Stories: Turns out the F-series pickup can two-wheel down the highway.

Milwaukee commuters were given quite a scare when a Ford pickup suddenly veered toward and straddled a highway median as captured on video on Thursday, May 10th. Even though the truck knocked down a couple of light poles, it appears as though no one was hurt.

In the video, it can be seen that the truck driver is in the central lane, and without warning (apart from a turn signal being on) veers hard left. The truck continues onward before coming to a stop after taking out two poles. Interestingly, the light poles are meant to have a quick break-away as seen in the video and didn’t cause any injuries.

Astonishingly, the pickup truck looked to sustain very minor damage from the incident, coming down off the median and stopping on the highway after the mishap. Thankfully the light poles which were knocked down didn’t really strike any other vehicles either and when watching the video, it’s easy to see how things could have been far worse. The incident did, however, cause huge delays and backups as the other drivers affected waited to find out what to do.

The driver of the truck was attended to by a good Samaritan and was then taken into custody after failing a field sobriety test, according to Milwaukee County deputies.

Deputies also stated that if you ever find yourself in a bizarre situation like this where you are forced to stop on a highway, the safest possible place to remain is inside your vehicle till emergency services arrive.
