Flip, Flop or Fly? A Flipped F-150/Radical Ranger Combo

Some folks flip over Ford F-150s, but Rick Sullivan of Clinton, Illinois – literally flipped over his truck. He built a red and white “flip-over” truck out of a 1991 Ford Ranger pickup frame and a 1995 F-150 truck body.

Sullivan was inspired by a flipped Ranger he towed back to his shop, Kathy’s Collision Center, last year. He then spent the next six months tossing over ideas while building his street legal truck.

“I just started buying parts and then putting it together,” he told the Bloomington Pantagraph last week.

“It’s all in my head and we had to make adjustments throughout, but it turned out pretty much like I envisioned it.”

The chromed out top wheels spin and are powered by electric motors. The vanity license plate reads “FLIPOVR” and the toppled truck turns heads everywhere it goes according to the report.

The radical ride even won a “WTF Award” at last month’s Car Craft Magazine Street Machine Nationals. Sullivan also built the world largest red Radio Flyer out of a 1995 Oldsmobile three years ago.

And all we can say is what a visionary… or did he just flip his lid? Sound off in the forums >>
