F-150 Plays the Accomplice in Smash and Grab Robbery

Ford F-150

Godzilla? King Kong? Or was it really an F-150 that punched a hole this big in a convenience store?!? We know where we’re placing our bets!

Brazen thieves don’t waste time fiddling with silly locks when they want to rob a store these days. Nope, they tend to resort to extreme force instead, usually with the aid of some sort of vehicle. Whether they decide to rip an ATM out of the ground or ram into a storefront to do some looting, would-be robbers don’t care about the destruction or expensive damage they leave behind.

The store has cameras, of course, which gives police a pretty good description of the culprit’s vehicle. But just by looking at the damage done, where almost an entire cement wall was toppled, it looks like either a tank or the Bat-Mobile (in armor mode) must have done this dastardly deed. However , it turns out that it was neither of those vehicles. So, what kind of ride can take out a few tons of concrete and still drive away with no problem? You guessed it: a “built Ford tough” truck!

It’s believed to be a black 2004-2006 Ford F-150 with rear-end damage, a leveling kit, and black fender flares and running boards. Whether or not the truck was a willing participant in the robbery is currently unknown. But that’s exactly what happened when an F-150 driver decided he needed some quick cash out in Salem, Oregon recently.

The driver smashed his F-150 truck into a local Star Market,
leaving a hole so big it looks like Godzilla took a swipe at it.

The Oregonian reports that at around 3 a.m., said driver smashed his F-150 truck into a local Star Market, leaving a hole so big it looks like Godzilla took a swipe at it. The brazen thief made off with the store’s ATM machine. Later, a random opportunist walked in and grabbed some cigarettes just to rub a little salt in the wound.

Now, of course, we do not condone this type of behavior, which will eventually lead the criminal to sharing a cell with an unsympathetic fellow crook named Bubba, who the culprit will soon call, “Sir.” However, we are impressed with the power, toughness and dependability of the F-150 that was able to drive off into the night after inflicting such damage. And all things considered, we think the crook involved should get an extra 10 years behind bars just for banging up the F-150!
