2019 year review F-150 Online

Lots of noise was made from the other side of Detroit when Ford decided to pick aluminum as a way to make their trucks lighter and more efficient. Turns out Ford was on the correct side of history. A report from Automotive News has shown that shops equipped to handle aluminum work were able to fix and repair them cheaper than their steel bodied rivals.

2019 Carlisle Ford Nationals is the Biggest Ever

2019 year review F-150 Online

Carlisle Ford Nationals was bigger than ever this year with almost 3200 Ford in attendance. The event, held at the Carlisle Fairgrounds in Pennsylvania groups specific kinds of vehicles together so if you wanted to see rows upon rows of Ford Raptors, this is your happy place. With burnouts and award judging too, it’s a must-go for any F-series owner or enthusiast.

Classic 1979 F-150 is a Blast From the Past

2019 year review F-150 Online

Speaking of old trucks, we can see clean workhorses like this F-150 catching a wave of value soon. Most of these trucks worked hard and beat up for decades and eventually traded in for a new model. So finding a clean and sparkly example is getting ever more rare.

Blown F-150 Embarrasses a Tuned Nissan GTR

2019 year review F-150 Online

Not all F-150’s are workhorses though. Some of them are stallions. This F-150 is supercharged and one heck of a sleeper. How would it stack up against Nissan’s GT-R? Turns out, not so well for the import. The F-150 consistently wins fair and square from a dig, and even offered to race with the GT-R getting a hit. The F-150 remained victorious.

2019 year review F-150 Online

Two-tone paint brings back memories for owners who have had a string of F-150 trucks. Those memories have made some dealerships offer throwback style options, and some of them like this red and white F-150 pull off the retro look very well. Plus, who doesn’t love a nice set of bed bars?

2019 year review F-150 Online

If towing is your business and you like luxury, then the F-450 limited is for you. When we got our hands on an F-450 Super Duty, we didn’t just drive it around the block to test it, we put it to work. A 200 mile trek from Dallas to Austin with a trailer and a sports car sounded like a good way to measure, and the F-450 ultimately let no one down.

New Bronco R Baja Racer Gives Us a Preview of the Next Bronco

2019 year review F-150 Online

One of the biggest buzz words around ford in 2019 was “Bronco.” The Bronco R off-road racer is apparently giving us a closer glimpse at what the new Bronco will eventually look like. Though it has to be said some of those racers are draped in wildly flared arches, and bodywork. So we’re only being given a hint of the Bronco with this ride. Still, we look forward to a full unveiling in 2020.

Ken Block Blasts Up Dangerous Chinese Mountain Road in 914-HP F-150

2019 year review F-150 Online

Ken Block‘s partnership with Ford has seen him pilot various cars, but he’s now built an F-150. Known as the Hoonitruck, this F-105’s power comes from a V6 twin turbo plucked from the Ford GT. Granted, it has been modified beyond all recognition, but it is still cool to see sideways action in the hands of one great driver.
