No need to customize this beauty. Everything a pickup truck lover would ever want is already done.

Antique pickup trucks are becoming more popular with enthusiasts looking to customize a vehicle for the first time. Old-school pickups take extremely well to some tasteful modifications and can be found for a relatively affordable price on well-known websites. For truck enthusiasts looking for a classic Ford F-150 with some modern touches, this pickup that we found on an auction site fits the bill.

1978 Ford F150

Hemmings has this 1978 Ford F-150 listed for sale and it’s a looker. The first thing that pops out about this F-150 is its exterior styling. It won’t be to everyone’s liking, but it’s definitely unique. According to the listing, the truck features a new paint job, which just happens to be a bright shade of orange with a little bit of black mixed in, a six-inch lift, and enormous 37-inch tires. The exterior changes bring the truck out of the ‘70s and into the modern era.

The interior gets a few modern touches, as well with newer door panels, an aftermarket gauge cluster, reupholstered bench seat, and a Bluetooth radio. There’s still a touch of it being a classic, though, with the original dashboard, which is incredible, as they tend to crack and show signs of wear first.

The mechanical aspect of the F-150 is also a mix of new and old with a 351 cu.in. Windsor V8 engine, power brakes, and 4×4. This pickup, then, is capable of tackling inclement weather, going for a relaxing cruise, and turning heads at local car shows.

Hemmings has this vehicle priced at $14,900, which is a steal when you start thinking about all of the parts that have gone into the vehicle and the ’78 F-150 itself. Being able to combine classic looks with modern features isn’t the easiest thing, but this F-150 has it in spades.
