Quick question: which Raptor is best, the Gen 1 or the forthcoming Gen 2?  It’s a chicken and egg sort of thing that essentially boils down to your preference in engine size.  For those who simply want the most power they can possibly buy for their hard earned dollar, the answer is simple – neither.

No, if you want the ultimate Raptor, you want the ROUSH Edition.  Shown here is a 2013 model with less than 20,000 miles, featuring over $30k in upgrades.  The asking price is a lofty $69,999, but you obviously get a lot of truck for your money.  A truck that will easily blow away a new or old Raptor as well.

The heart of the beast is Ford’s venerable 6.2 liter V8, which has received a ROUSH supercharger and a host of other upgrades which increase output to a lofty 590 horsepower.  A mile long parts list follows, with tons of fancy trim parts that help it stand apart from the already limited edition Raptors out there.

The ROUSH also looks the part with Fuel Maverick 20″ wheels and Toyo Open Country 35″ tires sitting on a stock suspension that has received nothing more than a leveling spacer.  Why mess with a good thing, after all?  The moldings and bumpers have been painted body color, and the flat grey interior trim has been sprayed piano black.

The end result is a unique piece that is undoubtedly a lot more fun than your average Raptor.  It all comes at a price, of course.  But if you are the type who wants the best of everything, the ROUSH edition Raptor certainly fits that bill.
