2017 Raptor Honest Review From a Subaru Fan

By -

Can’t wipe the smile off his face at all during his test drive!

There’s something about a big truck that brings the little kid out of people. The idea of driving the biggest, most powerful vehicle on the road just brings a childlike giddiness out of anyone. That’s exactly what happens when a self-proclaimed Surbaru fan gets his hands on a brand new 2017 Ford Raptor.

In the YouTube video review from SubaruWRXfan, he wants to give an opinion of a car driver on how the Raptor would fare as a daily driver vehicle. Right off the bat, you can hear how excited he is to drive the truck. He goes over the exterior and keeps repeating how “awesome” every inch of the truck is, and how “every single panel of this truck just screams aggression.”

As he goes over the interior, which he describes as “a nice place to be,” he compliments all the comfort and style that is in the Raptor. From the seats to the ample storage and leg room, the reviewer just raves about the inside of the vehicle. He goes over the infotainment system and the dash, and he loves every bit of it. He calls the interior a “nice blend of comfort and sportiness.”

The look of the interior and exterior are all great, but if the truck doesn’t drive well, then it’s all for naught. That’s when the pure joy sweeps the reviewer’s face. He instantly talks about how he feels like the “King of the Road,” and how it just makes him happy driving down the street. When he engages the power of the engine, putting it in Sport mode, that’s when the grin goes from ear to ear.

“Overall, it’s pretty smooth,” says the reviewer. He follows with how he’s surprised that the “shifts are so smooth and indiscernible” thanks to the new 10-speed transmission in the Raptor.

As he drives through the windy backroads, he’s a fan of how the truck handles the curves, and the sound it makes as he powers down the straight roads, calling it an “exciting driving experience.” Overall, he ends the video being incredible complimentary of the truck, which is no surprise by how he smiled every second of the test drive.

“Easily a super nice luxurious daily drivable truck,” he says. And with that, the test drive is over, and he wishes he had the chance to fully test the truck in an off-roading scenario.
