1979 Ford F-100 Won’t Leave You Jaded

This F-100 Ranger has everything you want in a classic truck purchase and nothing else!

Prospective classic truck buyers are forced to navigate a potentially risky process to obtain their dream ride. After all, you’re talking about buying something decades old. Even though vintage trucks are much simpler than modern ones, their history is often murky at best. Was it used as a Sunday church cruiser by some caring old folk, or beaten to death on a farm? Sometimes, it’s hard to tell. But when it comes to this stunning 1979 Ford F-100, there isn’t much to worry about.

The Jade Green beauty, which we spotted over at Classic Car Liquidators, certainly doesn’t look offensive. The light, minty green color isn’t too common on trucks of this era, making it rather unique. The F-100 Ranger comes nicely spec’d as well, with fancy (for the time) interior trim and a full host of exterior shiny bits.

Rolling stock has been upgraded to set of aluminum wheels and Cooper Cobra tires, but they’re certainly nothing outlandish. In fact, they only add to the cruiser’s appealing appearance. There wasn’t really a need to do much else, save for adding long tube headers and a dual exhaust to the original 302. After all, this 1979 Ford F-100 already came with power steering and front disc brakes from the factory.

Otherwise, this F-100 Ranger is incredibly clean from top to bottom. The undercarriage is in pretty remarkable condition given the model’s many rust issues. And the interior looks nearly factory fresh. With a bedliner and bed rails in place, it’s ready to serve as your weekend garage sale ride. Then, once you’ve unloaded your new China cabinet, it’ll fit right in cruising the boulevard on Saturday night. And what more could you possibly want from a classic truck purchase?
