1950 Ford F-1 to Glimmer Across the Block at Barrett-Jackson Auction in Reno
Each year, Barrett-Jackson holds world-famous auctions in Scottsdale, Arizona; Palm Beach, Florida and Las Vegas, Nevada.
For 2013, Barrett-Jackson has introduced a new event in Reno, Nevada — the Hot August Nights Auction Presented by Barrett-Jackson, happening August 8th to the 10th at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The new auction will serve as one of the main attractions during the 27th annual Hot August Nights classic car festival, which brings in hundreds of thousands of people for its show-n-shines, cruises, drag races and concerts.

Barrett-Jackson Lot 381 – 1950 Ford F-1 Pickup
Step back into the early days of the F-Series pickup with this 1950 Ford F-1. Tip-top-condition Ford F-1s are a rare find, so this example’s pleasing appearance is a special treat. In addition to good looks, this one has a flathead six under the hood and a three-speed manual transmission. Give your eyes some more of this black beauty in the gallery below.
The Hot August Nights Auction serves as the replacement for the popular Barrett-Jackson Orange County Auction that ran from 2010 to 2012. According to Barrett-Jackson, the Southern California event outgrew its location at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa.
Hot August Nights kicks off Friday, August 2nd and Saturday, August 3rd on the Nevada side of south Lake Tahoe. The event continues in Reno/Sparks August 6th to 11th.
