Quick 2x4 tire Question ???

My truck is a 4x2 supercab I have 20's on it now wanting to change to 17's for better ride. I will be getting the 17x8 MB predators. My question is about tire size. What size should I get ( 265/70 or bigger ) will probably get a leveling kit for the front.?. I am looking at general grabber at2 265/70.

Any help is appreciated Thanks!

No one of the 20's is peeling pretty bad now and the others has some pitting. I love the wheels just need replacing and I want a better ride now that I am getting a lil older.

What year is your truck? I'd add a leveling kit and go with 285's or stick with 265's if you don't want to lift it.

Thanks Wandell my truck is a 2003 XLT Sport. I think that I will go with the 265/70r17. My tire choices are Mickey Thompson baja mtx radial, General grabber at2, Yokohama Geolander, or goodyear wranglers. I have found these tires to be in my price range due to I am going to buy wheels also. My 20's just ride to rough for my taste.

FWIW At the gas station yesterday I spotted and checked out a 4x2 that was running 295/70/17 tires on what I believe to be a Weld 17x9 wheel. The truck was a leveled 2004 4x2. Tire size is about 33.3x11.8.
