Anyone else think I'm crazy?

Some tire companies need to start making 33's and 35's for 20" rims that have a street tread.

Am I nuts? I wanna lift my 2wd 04 f150 and have some 20" rims on 35" tires but I dont want the Hum of a offroad tire or the fast wear. With all the "street" trucks now you'd think this would be a reality.

I don't think you are crazy, but I think that if you can fit a 33" street tire, it should be filled with a 26" rim. As long as you buy an AT tire, they really aren't that noisy and don't wear that fast either. It's the MT tires that are not the best for the road.

Yeah, I think you are crazy! Just kidding. If you go with a set of 33 or 35 inch BFG AT KO's, Nitto Terra Grapplers or Toyo Open Country AT's you will be well pleased. As for tire milage, I've always got more miles out of all terrian tires than street tires. I got over 61,000 out of a set of Bridgestone Duelers. I currently have over 40,000 on my BFG AT KO's and fully expect them to last another 20k. Also, it is just my opinion, but a lifted truck riding on street tires would look bad. If you want a street tire, lower it.

Check out www.coopertire.com I have the Zeon XST's and they are quiet and they work GREAT. So far I've been in mud, clay, loose rock (crushed & round) lots of rain, great in the rain, ( I work for a rock quarry lots of different terrain) and I'm just waiting for it to snow here in Washington to see what they'll do then. The 305/45/22's I have are 33 inches tall. It's an option.
