I have replaced the EGR valve, DPFE sensor, and Mass Air Flow sensor. Is a blocked cat fairly common? I got the check engine light to go off, but it then came on again and the pinging never stopped. The Ford dealer said that it is carbon built up on the intake. Also, I always buy good gas (name brand, not discount?). I don't know.
