Unhappy Help! 98 F-150 NASCAR edition Battery Dead, hood latch stuck.

Yep, I should start by nominating myself for this years biggest dumbass award... I let my poor truck sit for a few months this winter and I went to fire her up and the battery ran down before she would turn over which was real quick and to make matters worse the latch wont budge!!
Does anyone have any tricks for getting a 98 stuck/frozen hood latch open
so I can at least try to jump start and get her fluids
circulating again??.... I tried beating on the hood above the latch to lose it up but no luck... I hope im not gonna have to resort to my trusty sawzall LOL, although she would look pretty badass with a new cowl hood.
Anyway, thanks for any advice,
Dan

Have someone pop on the hood above the hood latch while someone else pulls the latch release. This will usually free stuck latches.

Thanks for the replies, I'll definately try this when it warms up a little more... the recent ice storms froze it up good, cant wait to get her
safe undercover in a garage so I can start work on her.
